AnthonyS
As the title says, I have been playing around a lot to find the correct software, but so far I cannot find anything to manage my P222 raid in vsphere 6.5. I am using the vsphere build, and not the HPE build. The 6.5 vsphere build works great, just need the software so I can mange the raid! What do you need for that, anyone have the correct vib files? tomaash
You need hpssacli. I could quickly find download just for 6.0: http://vibsdepot.hpe.com/hpq/latest/esxi-600-vibs/hpssacli/hpssacli-2.30.6.0-6.0.0.vib Some usage examples: https://kallesplayground.wordpress.com/useful-stuff/hp-smart-array-cli-commands-under-esxi/ Complete SSA user guide: http://h20566.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c03909334
AnthonyS
Thanks, that installed fine, but when I run it, I get: [root@esx1:~] /opt/hp/hpssacli/bin/hpssacli ctrl all show config Error: No controllers detected. Possible causes: - The driver for the installed controller(s) is not loaded. - On LINUX, the scsi_generic (sg) driver module is not loaded. See the README file for more details. AnthonyS
Any thoughts on that error? I looked around, I didn't see anyone else with that issue on 6.5.
schoondoggy
Just a guess, but it could be because you are not using the HP image of ESXi 6.5.Sent from my LG-H910 using Tapatalk
AnthonyS
I tried a few versions like posted here, no such luck: I would think getting any version of vsphere should be fine, I can roll back to the HPE version if that's the only one that will work. I'd really like to have a way to manage my array.
