VR6Pete
Looking to install SSD in the bay for optical drive. What mount / cage do I need to securely mount into the chassis / bay where optical drive would be situated? I have seen some videos on YouTube but don't specify what was used to achieve what I am after. Cheers pete
ArnisR
None As SSD hasn't any moving parts You can fix it in place with self-adhesing tape/doubletape.
OctavianH
I've secured mine using some stuff received on my Seasonic PSU (those used to tighten cables and so on). For 2 years works perfectly. The only problem was to make an adapter MOLEX-SATA for the power cable.
Trig0r
My SSD's were under the bit where the optical drive goes, shimmy the cables around a bit and you can fit 2x 2.5" drives under there...
Joe_Miner
Duct tape and electrical tape work for me.
