RAM for ML30 Gen9

Anyone found good deals for RAM for the ML30 Gen9?

This is what I'm seeing for requirements in the QuickSpecs

Never heard of them, but I think you would be a great test case. <_<

I was looking at the Memory selector at Kingston and got  KTH-PL421E/16G for $158 at both

Newegg https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820242300&cm_re=KTH-PL421E%2f16G-_-20-242-300-_-Product

and Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FSUJAAW?tag=wwwkingstonco-20

But they seem to have the same specs as the Value-RAM that you linked to KVR21E15D8/16

What's the difference between the value-RAM and what the Memory selector gave?  I remember a discussion about this after the last meet-up but it may have been after some beer :) I know I've gotten the value RAM before for my ML10v2 and it worked great .......

Wasn't it just something like more testing/tighter specs to work with specific Server brands -- though ValueRAM meets minimum specs as far as I can tell -- the ValueRAM selector page at Kingston seems oriented towards WhiteBox builds https://www.kingston.com/us/memory/valueram

Where Kingston states:

Memory Specifically Designed and Tested to Meet Industry Standards

Kingston® ValueRAM® is purchased by customers who know the exact technical specifications of the memory they need. ValueRAM memory is fully compliant with JEDEC Specifications and is 100-percent tested and backed by a lifetime warranty.

I've use DMS for years.  I purchase 99.9% of my memory from them.  When I have the very rare issue with bad RAM, they ship out the replacement and return label at their expense.

I can't recommend them highly enough.

Cheers,
Jon

So I'm trying to replace my ageing HP Proliant Microserver N54L. It's used as a general dogs body server, running Blue Iris, Plex and as my NAS server.
I'm on a pretty tight budget but the poor server is always at 90% + CPU because of the CCTV and I'm looking at adding a second camera soon.
Is there such a thing as a reasonably priced ECC home server build?
My MVP is 8GB ECC memory, with 4 threads on the CPU.
I'd prefer a small form factor but that's like gold dust unless you throw a lot of $$££€€ at it. I've got to get this past my partner you see 😅
Any ideas? I'm not loyal to any particular brand, so long as it works.

Apologies if posted before but a weird one I’m hoping someone can help me figure out (probably bought the wrong ram! 😒)

      Stock Gen8 with Celeron G1610T CPU & 4GB RAM (
      Upgraded to
      e3-1256L v2 with 65w HP Heatsink
      Offtek 16GB (2 x8GB) DDR3 1600MHz 2R x8 ECC

Offtek ram was bought sometime ago and registered fine in bios with the celeron.

Since upgrade of cpu & heatsink - the RAM slot closest to heatsink just doesn’t want to work. Tried swapping ram modules around. Single slots used. The slot furthest away from heatsink seems to work fine with all ram modules.

See pictures of failures and ram used.

The bios jut seems to loop around at 30% when Any ideas??

HI, I have purchased a GEN 10 microserver (version CPU AMD Opteron X3216 / 1.6 GHz with 8 Gb RAM).

I have installed Server 2016 Standard (two hard disk: 2Tb and 4Tb RED) but I have a problem with memory.

In windows server it says: 8 Gb RAM (6,96 GB available).

      I have:
install video driver from HP web page uninstall it and leave the basic default driver check all BIOS option to search for a option for the shared video card memory.  (I haven't found anything)
      So no luck.

Does any body knows how to increase the available RAM ?

      Regards,
