Joe_Miner 254
A posting moved over from my blog in HSS blogs from December 2014 I have not been keeping up with what I've been up to lately.Nearly a month ago I did an unboxing of my CowboyStudio Lighting Kit that I planned to use when making videos in the future. I had been looking for some sort of "light defuser" and had posted questions in the forums. http://homeserversho...users/?p=91130I got the idea for CowboyStudio from several conversations between @jcollison and @HomeServerShow on their Podcasts and @jcollison’s blog. The kit has three Day-Light-CFL bulbs, three stands, two Umbrellas and a carrying case.I'm really liking my new lighting and think it does improve my video lighting and I've found it useful when doing close-in work where the more lighting the better! Thanks to Dave & Jim for this great idea!References and Useful Links:CowboyStudio Photography/Video Portrate Umbrella Continuous Triple Lighting Kit http://www.amazon.co...1528360_TE_dp_1CowboyStudio YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube....oystudio/videosAverage Guy Blog Post https://theaveragegu...amera-action-2/Home Server Show http://homeservershow.com/Home Server Show Forums http://homeservershow.com/forums/Forum Post on “Light Defusers” http://homeservershow.com/forums/index.php?/topic/8463-light-defusers/ Edited March 13, 2017 by Joe_Miner
Dave 434
Yup, that's the set I use. I think I sent one to Jim back in the day when he sat in the dark! Mine are still running well. No complaints. Thanks for writing it up John.
axoid 9
I picked up a lighting kit in January (Photography Photo Portrait Studio 600W Day Light Umbrella Continuous Lighting Kit by LimoStudio) and I've been happy with it so far. I just have to be careful with the bulbs that I use. The fixtures are only rated for 45w. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005FHZ2SI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=
