New App that will turn any tablet into a Smart Screen

You install the WhizScreen app on your tablet (iOS, Android, Fire) and you can use your tablet as an always-on clock, picture frame news reader etc. However the cool thing is that you can control the app using Alexa, IFTTT, SmartThings and a special app (another app). You can send a message to the app so it will be displayed on your tablet screen, load webpages and youtube clips, set a timer and more just by using your voice (using Alexa), as a response to an event triggered by SmartThings/IFTTT or using the other automation options. Check it out at www.whizscreen.com

Today at CES Unveiled Schlage has announced it's Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt will work with Google Assistant.  That will come in Q1 2018 and users will be able to lock the door with "Ok Google" as well as check if its unlocked.
Google Assistant will require the Schlage Sense WiFi Adapter.  With the Schlage Sense WiFi Adapter, iOS and Android smartphone users gain remote access to their lock through the Schlage Sense app, no monthly fee will be required

This rounds up Schlage's smart home lock offering with access to Siri, Alexa, and now Google Assistant.

They are also out front for CES 2018! Stay tuned to RESET Forums and the RESET.FM podcast for more.
