Surface Pro 4 Finer Control In Battery Saver Mode

Recommended Posts

Does any one know how to better control your Surface Pro 4 when on the internal battery.  There does not appear to be fine controls, in the control panel.  For example, I love Windows Hello, but I would rather type my password and conserve my battery.  There are many other examples of conserving my battery.  Any thoughts?

Windows hello can be disabled in the sign in options.

if I need maximum battery life I run it on battery saver mode and turn brightness down to the lowest level that I can stand, I also try not to use the backlit keyboard. If Im doing ultra light tasks I tweak the profile to only allow the processor to hit 50-75% max performance and I NEVER use connected standby or sleep modes ever...the surface boots fast enough that you aren't waiting long before the log on screen pops up...if I don't need wifi I turn that off also.

Don't forget to turn off Bluetooth if you're not using it
