how to downgrade surface rt 8.1 to 8.0?

i know you need to get the recovery image like:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/surfwinrt-surfupdate/how-do-you-downgrade-windows-rt-81-to-80/9f0c6b2d-cce3-43d6-af0c-1d0d8254ba13

I followed, but it couldn't let me to downgrade

and i see it says it will update to 8.1 something...

So as the title said, how to downgrade the surface rt?

I know someone will ask me why i need to downgrade to 8.0, 8.1 has more services than 8.0

well, as anyone who already know, window 8.0 jailbreak could let you install Google chrome browser

so i really want to downgrade to 8.0

or if anyone know how to install google chrome browser on surface rt 8.1, please tell m(_ _)m

thank you

I would think if you did a factory reset on a Surface RT it would go back to Windows RT 8.0. If you have a Surface 2, I doubt you could go back further than 8.1.

I hear about this RT jailbreak, but there is no RT version of Chrome, so I don't think there is a way to get it to run.

Can you post a link to the jailbreak and Chrome info?

You may have read this:

http://news.softpedia.com/news/Jailbreak-to-Bring-Firefox-and-Chrome-on-Windows-RT-Tablets-320408.shtml

I don't think Chrome and FireFox were ever ported to RT.

What you can run from jailbreak on RT is open source apps that have been recompiled for RT:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2092348

The Microsoft recovery image you have linked to above may work, but if your main objective is to run Chrome on RT, I do not think you will be able to get there.
