I have to use Notes for work, but not on my surface. I dont see why it wouldnt. Its compatible with windows 8.1, and there is nothing funny about the hardwear on the surface.

This says it has compatibility fixes for windows 8.1 so it should be fine I would imagine. I have it on windows 7 on my work machine. Cant be of much more help than that... I imagine most people use an alternate email programme on their surface though

Lotus Notes? I didn't know that was still a thing.   I am not trying to be an a**hole; I literally haven't heard anyone using Lotus in a very long time.  It is almost like seeing a blackberry in the Wild today (or Windows Phone I guess).

I thought my company was one of the last to use it, and we migrated away from it two years ago. I'm sorry for you.  However, I preferred the instant message client over Communicator.

Is your company German. Almost every company I know that uses it, 4, is German.
