I Love The Extended Warranty

My daughter's Gen1 Surface Pro (128GB) developed a display problem (yellow line across the right side of the screen). I had bought the extended warranty 17 months ago and we took it in to the Microsoft Store this afternoon. We were offered two options, send it off for repairs and it would be shipped back withing 10 business days or upgrade to the Surface Pro 3 (choice of 128GB or 256GB  i5 models) and pay the price differential between the current prices and the original purchace price of the Gen1. We walked away with a SP3 128GB i5 with keyboard and new extended warranty for $94. This included the Educator's Discount (she's a teacher). Quote from my daughter, "I am now a dedicated Microsoft fangirl."

What a great story. I'm glad to hear everything worked out for the best and your daughter got a really awesome new SP3 to boot!
