Surface Pro 3 Accessories

Recommended Posts

Here is my list of the accessories I am going to buy. There are multiple cases on this list, I think I will go with the leather one though.

I am going to get the dock as well, but buying it and other accessories directly from Microsoft.

The USB 3.0 hub works well for me. however the cable that connects it to your Surface is too short to be useful so you'll need to get an USB 3.0 extension cable.

Here's a picture of how I use the USB 3.0 hub. The blue cable is a USB 3.0 extension which allows me sit on the sofa while having the ethernet adapter, a USB 3.0 HDD and my smartphone to be plugged in. I've also used it to tranfer data between two smartphones.

The point of this post is to show that

1. the included four-inch USB 3.0 cable is insufficient, and

2. the hub works reliably with quite a load: an unpowered USB 3.0 HDD, the ethernet adapter, as well as a smartphone.

So you can buy it with confidence.

Thanks Morgan. I took it off and replaced it with an Anker hub that looks rather nice.

You need to use an image service to post pictures. I have had good luck with imageshack.us

Try again with the photo and let me know via PM what it says.
