I would like to use a Surface Pro 2 connected to a dock station with a monitor, keyboard and a mouse as my main machine. Is it possible to connect a second monitor to use 2+0 monitor configuration (2 external monitors, 0 internal - it's turned off)

Ok, with the help of fellow Stack Exchange users, I have researched the question and I know I should be able to use at least two monitors with DisplayPort 1.2 MST support, or 3 with a hub.

I did a write-up of my research in this Super User question:

How do I know if I will be able to daisy-chain monitors? (connect two monitors to 1 DisplayPort)

I feel like a boss now :-)

Generally, the monitor specs will tell you if the monitor can daisy chain.  And....it will have two display port connectors.
