How Do I Replace The Cord In Power Supply?

Recommended Posts

Nickolai

I'll be ordering a Surface Pro 2 from Amazon or eBay, as they don't sell them here in Russia.

How easy is it to replace the power cord in a standard Surface Pro 2 power supply? I will need to replace it to use it with power outlets here.

I hope power cord is 1) easily detachable and 2) ends with a standard 2-prong or 3-prong ("mickey mouse") plug on the adapter side.

See if that helps.  The cord from wall to transformer is only about 2 feet long.

Looks like the usual 2-pronged one. Easily replaceable and the cords that fit it are usually slim and nice (unlike the 3-pronged ones, which have heavy bulky cables that fit them).

This is extremely helpful, thank you very much!
