Can't Connect Properly To Lan Printer

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have a Surface 2 hooked to our home network via WiFi. There is an Epson printer on the network. My husband and all Windows Vista and W7 laptop can connect to it without problems, but not my Surface. It shows the Printer under Devices, but as being offline, and no printing is possible. Very irritating. Anybody has a solution for that problem ?

I had the same issue with my HP printer.  What I did is to go into the charms and search for "Devices and Printers" It will open in the desktop and not in Metro.   Select add printer and walk thru the steps and see if this works for you.

Is there a list of printers that are compatible with the Surface RT via network connection? My Surface RT discovers my Dell V505 All-in-one, then reports that the device driver is incompatible.
