Don't have an RT. No, this doesn't make me want one ($199 might), but that's mostly because I have a Pro.

Would love to see a price reduction on the Pro 128. That would be compelling.

Definitely wonder what's around the bend.

I bought the Samsung Ativ Tab for about that price because I didn't want to pay $499+ and I like some specs of the Ativ better.

Had I waited, I would have jumped at this. But really want a Snapdragon 800 class RT device. I'll probably upgrade this fall.

I was contemplating a purchase - the price drop made the decision easier.  I have to say that I'm very impressed so far.

My original game plan was to go Surface Pro.  I expect to bring the unit into the field - fairly harsh environment - and the potential for damaging a $1000 piece of equipment was rather high.  Hopefully the RT is up to the task - with only a third of financial risk.

This should buy me some time to wait for the Haswell version of the Pro.

Microsoft Complete can alleviate the risk of damage.

Microsoft Complete can alleviate the risk of damage.

Indeed.  I suspect, though, that I'd become overly attached to the Surface Pro, and become overprotective.  If it can do everything required, the RT unit is destined for "harm's way".

I love my Pro, it feels like a more complete package, but the RT is amazing, and that's a great price.  I've just got to figure out how to upgrade to a Haswell.  I wish Microsoft had a good trade in option...
