2 Video Cards

Recommended Posts

My main desktop rig has an ATI 6970, which isn't a low end card. However, it can't run 3 monitors in my setup, no doubt because my 2 monitors are 30" Dell UltraSharps running at 2560x1600.

Nothing against nVidia, but I've had better luck with ATI/AMD over the years.

Same here with nVidia. Not sure about now but usually nVidia gives you more power per dollar.

That's funny haha the opposite for me! AMD has always been the hot ones on my machines! Honestly I think its the luck of the draw and each individual model that differ.

Ok I have the answer.  I will have to update both cards and I need to make sure they have SLI.

I have never noticed/checked. I guess I build them so well it has never mattered. ;)
