Can the surface drive a large screen TV. Like a 67".

Sure.

The only issue is limited resolution support.

The Surface RT HDMI resolution is 1366 x 768 to 1920 x 1080.

Some 720P TV's are looking for 1280 x 720 and currently the RT will not support it.

A big 1080 TV should be fine.

Its real finicky too. Goes in and out and some apps will say they don't support the resolution. And the start screen looks terrible on the big screens! (very grainy)

Hopeful for some updates!

We have 55" 1080P LED TV's in our conference rooms and Surface RT looks great on them.

I did run into a projector that would not sync on HDMI, but when I used my VGA adapter it worked fine.

Make sure the cable you are using is inserted deep enough to make a solid connection.

Because of the angled edge of the Surface many plugs don't fit well.

I trimmed the plastic on the cable listed above to be sure it made a good connection.

Wow, I looked on the description and didn't remember seeing it was micro USB to HDMI. Thought it was a proprietary cable so I spent $40 on that awful MS adapter. It fits pretty loose for it being the specific one. I'll return it tomorrow. Gosh, I was really feeling like MS was taking advantage of me with that. Now I'm just unhappy about no color option on keyboards for the 64

Its not micro USB, it is micro HDMI. The one I list above makes a much tighter connect.
