Full System Restore Wizard does not open

Recommended Posts

Following my post yesterday about no laptop backups, I thought I'd try a Full System Restore to a new larger HDD.

I had pre-prepared a bootable USB stick with 'Drivers for System Restore' and started the process which ran fine through Initialising Windows, Registering the components and Verifying the drivers but has now stuck for 2 hours 'Opening the Full System Restore Wizard'.

Can anybody help with advice like...

how can I check I got all the drivers despite Verifying OK?

Might it be better to use the Client Restore disk as it might have more drivers?

I observed that disks were listed in the bottom box of the 'Install Drivers' screen, so would I need to find drivers for individual HDs?

How long should I wait before giving up on the Wizard opening?

Thanks

Check Disk Management for "Z:\" drive or the like.
