Recommend PSU for adding graphic card

Hi all,

I bought a T20 this week with Xeon CPU arriving this Wednesday. But I want to add a GTX1060 graphics card which requires at least 400W power supply/120W power draw from GPU. (http://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=06G-P4-6163-KR)

I checked T20 PSU specs, which provides 290W at max. I believe everything except GPU won't draw more than 100W. But I have concern that if the system is going to be stable due to the fact all power specs are average number over time.

If I need to add additional PSU, does normal desktop PSU work? If possible, could anyone who have added graphics card to T20 comment?

TIA

Ricky

Something like the Corsair 600 will work great: https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-CX600-Supply-Bronze-Certified/dp/B0092ML0OC/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1482445703&sr=1-2&keywords=corsair+power+supply.  Just make sure you get no more than 2 12v rails.  Preferably 1.

T20 motherboard use 8PIN which is not ATX PSU compatible. I found German blog on upgrading T20 PSU (https://www.mst241.de/blog/post/2015-05-14-dell-t20-netzteil-mod/) It is very detailed and helpful with the help from google translation to English.

But another problem is that I'm not so sure if I can keep the case straight any more. Because the PSU in T20 is on the top without proper support. I hope anyone who have done that can chime in.
