brianscrivener
I have a hp microwave gen8 I added 3 x 3 Tb hard drives and copied my movies, music and TV shows over to it for my Plex... All seems fine then I tried to add a 3tb drive to the raid and the drive failed this then stopped me from been able to access the 3 other drives. I finally got it back and running again pheeeww :
schoondoggy
What type of RAID did you set up? How did you set up the RAID? Do you have a backup copy of your data?
GoNz0
If you set each drive to a single raid 0 then you can plug it into any PC and the files will show, the b120i controllers utter pants and needs telling a drives failed to make everything work again.

schoondoggy
How many drives do you see in Windows? Do you see four drives, your SSD and the three hard drives?

GoNz0
I have them all back up and running again removed the bad drive from the raid. Ordered a new 3tb replace the bad one Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk Raid 0 on a single drive is misleading and more a workaround the same as a JBOD. I took single raid0 drives out my microserver yesterday and dropped them onto the LSI Megaraid card in the rack server I have and they all went in with no interaction from me as a JBOD drives and all the info is still on them, saved me a lot of file moving!! (This marks the end of my Gen8 adventure as I got the rack server to steal the chip but decided to sell the Gen8) Edited September 30, 2016 by GoNz0

brianscrivener
I do now yes I was unsure of what happened and why. But the bad 3tb came up on raid as 40bg Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
schoondoggy
Do you have the SSA software loaded in Windows to manage B120i? As GoNz0 said you are not really running RAID, the single drive RAID0 is a way to mimic JBOD.
