Hi All

Just waiting for my new 1610 to arrive this week.

I'd like to be able to load 2012 R2 Standard on a 32Gb USB key and use four 1Tb drives in a RAID 10 purely for data.  Or even use the SD card slot instead.  If not I'll plug a RAID 0 SSD into the ODD and set that as the boot drive.

I'm sure it's been asked before but can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere.

Is it possible?

Thanks

Daren

I would go with the ssd windows doesn't like being on a USB stick and it would be slow plus the writes would kill it eventually

it' possible, but it's very very slow to install and start the OS, USB not really suitable!

MicroSD is faster, but still not suitable because of many read and writes!
