Installing a SSD

Hi Forum,

Quick and Easy question ( Hopefully )  :)

Iam trying to install a SSD into a gen8 microserver . However Iam having a hard time trying to source a Floppy FDD to SATA Power Converter.

Am hoping this could do the trick ,though I can get a 4 Pin Molex to floppy and then to piggyback off a 4 PIN Molex to SATA .

Can someone shed some light if this would work? or an alternative option?

Not a GEN 8 owner, but I thought there was a SATA connector for that ODD port.

There is an ODD port the Main board but am trying to find a solution for power.

The opther option is a miss because am not in the same country.

A easier option would be a standard molex splitter then a molex to Sata power connector. You can pull power off the drive cage cable then provide power the SSD. Should be about 10USD

Where do you live? I bought the one from Delock they mention above straight from Amazon.es (Spain). Premium, in my house the next day, no problem. Haven't tried it yet though :)
