AmpliFi by Ubiquiti

So, I got a text from him last night. He is not technical at all, but was able to install it himself. He said all the wifi issues he was having are gone, that it solved all his problems. Mainly, he was having trouble using his Fire TV in the living room. His Verizon router is in another room and I guess the signal was not strong.

I'm still surprised he figured it out on his own. Like I said, he's not technical. I cannot stress this enough. The setup must be REALLY easy.

I hope to get out there soon to at least take a look at it.

I just picked up their UniFi AC Pro (2 units) to trial as my first volley into Ubiquiti. I cannot run ethernet here so I had the main unit (ethernet to switch) in the 2nd flr office (about center of h

You are totally correct regarding how zero handoff works (or should). However if you think about the AmpliFi there is only one AP/router in the setup. The remotes must be broadcasting all signals/pack

Over at SNB forums, Tim has reported an issue with cascading the mesh points. Ubnt confirmed the issue and is do a fix now. So the HD unit is delayed once again.

Could you please provide a link to the report? I can't seem to find it.

Did you break the news to him yet that he needs to uninstall it and box it up so you can do your review start to finish? :D

Seems we are saying the same thing in different ways, Nice chatting with you. Take a look at the new Sophos Home offering, Its really nice and you can't beat the protection all for free. https://www.sophos.com/en-us/lp/sophos-home.aspx

You can send your daughter or anyone else a link threw the dashboard and all they have to do is double click it to download and install and it will be attached to your account automatically.

Installed on my desktop and quite nice software. Like the dashboard for sure.

Installed the comparable software on my Android phone. It installed an app protection program and guess I wasn't paying attention.

It then asks for a password when trying to access settings, I didn't remember even setting up the password.

A few hours later after a factory reset and customization I'm back in business again. The factory image for my Note5 has as many junk

apps as a new HP computer.

There was talk that Sophos would add support for Android and iOS so those devices would also show up in the dashboard but I have not heard anymore about it.
