Nice options, but it does not seem to be available in the US. I did not search in depth.

Forgot Jetway had a line of these as well:

I like the size and features of these, but I always seem to find a HP or Acer slimline and a 4 port NIC for less money.

Might be the same box, no SSD, RAM or WiFi:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B019Z8T9J0/ref=psdc_565098_t1_B0149YBQVY

Nice catch, That sure does look like the same. 164.99 + S/H is a great price when you compair it to what I was going to use some time ago, see below.

Motherboard only 2 NICs http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157614

Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129185

Total cost 229.98

I found another one by the same company you found but it only has 2 NICs but includes 4GB DDR3 RAM; 64GB MSATA SSD; NO WIFI 189.05 +S/H, This would be a great option as long as you don't need to create a DMZ. I personally would get the one you found with 4 LAN ports and add my own drive & memory becouse things happen in life like needing an extra LAN port.

Yes, but you get 6 Ethernet ports and with Jetway you are going to get BIOS updates and support.

Check the Jetway link, they have several models and options. Here is a different style:

Thanks for the info, I agree that these devices have much more potential then traditional routers.

Anyone tried one of these J1900 Cpus with Sophos or pfSense?

The single thread benchmark is only 527 and as snort is single threaded, won't this impact throughput?
