Hey all,

Payday is upon me and time to bit the bullet and crank my RAM up to 16 from 2!

I've been following the wiki and found these three. Just after some confirmation that I'm looking at the right ones.

Firstly there's this which I found after searching "Kingston HyperX Blu 16GB Kit (2x8 GB Modules) 1600MHz 240-pin DDR3 Non-ECC CL10 Desktop Memory"

 http://www.ebuyer.com/633796-hyperx-fury-16gb-1600mhz-ddr3-cl10-dimm-kit-of-2-memory-hx316c10fk2-16

This one had no item code in the description (KHX1600C10D3B1K2)

Then there's this one: Crucial Ballistix Sport Non-ECC 16GB Kit (2x8GB) BLS2KIT8G3D1609DS1S00

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Crucial-BLS2CP8G3D1609DS1S00-DDR3-1600-NonECC-Ballistix/dp/B006YG9EEW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1455790673&sr=8-3&keywords=BLS2KIT8G3D1609DS1S00

and finally this which I found that has some reviews saying its N54L compatible.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-Technology-ValueRam-DDR3-1333/dp/B0064R7LH8/ref=cm_sw_em_r_awdcod_3uGwvb1WPHNEE_tt

Which of these would be the 'better' choice for the N54L? I know very 'little' about RAM to be honest.

Appreciate any suggestions.

Cheers :)

Take a look here:http://homeservershow.com/forums/index.php?/topic/5190-microserver-hardware-links/ and here: http://n40l.wikia.com/wiki/Memory

I am running Kingston KVR1333D3E9SK2/16G which is an ECC 16GB Kit (2x8GB) in my N54L; never had any issues or problems with this memory. I used to run NAS4Free on this box so that's why I went with ECC.

You didn't mention what OS you are running but if you are on or intend to be on an OS that is ZFS filesystem based ECC memory is highly recommended.

I know that this is probably late on a comment but her it goes.

I have used this ram for each Microserver without any issues.
