Yeah, HVRemote makes things a bit simpler to manage.

And yeah, a domain can be a bit overkill. However, if you have more than 5 computers, it can make things much simpler. :)

Ah.... - I'm running W10 and looks like that tool doesn't support W10.. never mind... I can still get to the hyper-v manager from the server manager so not all lost!

I've never looked into a domain - I'd always assumed it was i wouldn't ever need in a home environment - I presume I'd need another physical server rather than trying to run it inside the hyper-v server?

Yup, and i just got a 36 bay supermicro, and it's even louder than the norco it's replacing.

And yeah, the build quality on the supermicro cases is leaps and bounds above the Norco. Worth the hassle.

I agree with you. I do have a Norco RPC-4224 case but I took it out of service, I did the fan mod on it so you did not even hear it running. I still have it for sale if you know anyone that want to purchase it.

And I used Noctua 120mm fans http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BEZZBFO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage
