Installing W7 through odd port

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Just received my 1610T, upgraded to 8gb of ram and purchased 250gb ssd.

I have installed the ssd in the odd bay with the 4 pin power adaptor.

I have created raid 0 for the ssd, put a W7 disc image on a usb, booted from the usb to install W7, but the ssd isnt visible.

What am I missing? Do I need to install a raid driver or something?

Thanks Joe,

Your help is appreciated.

Problem! I downloaded the driver and put on the usb along with the bootable image of W7.

When loading the driver, I get the error -

Load Driver

To continue installation, use the load driver option to install 32-bit and signed 64-bit drivers. Installing an unsigned 64-bit device driver is not supported and might result in usuable Windows installation.

Any ideas?

Still no ideas.

As the video shows I didn't experience that problem.  It grabbed the driver and saw my SSD.

The W7 version is an x64b version that you're trying to install?

I've tried both, to no avail.

I have also tried the driver on a seperate usb drive, mounted in the front.

I'm gonna call it a night and try again in the morning.

Thanks Guys.
