OhKeeNo
Hey Guys, I'm exploring the posibility of running a PCIe card through to a VM on ESXI 6.0. I know you can do it with other software because of the video link below but I'm having trouble finding clear instructions/videos on how to do it on VMware. Is there a VMware expert who can give me guidance? Thanks in advance!
Technogod
Thanks for posting the video. unRAID has changed a lot since I used it. That is a very impressive rig and a good tutorial on setting up unRAID.
rekloose
After installing the GPU, from the VSphere client go to Configuration>Advanced Settings>Edit>A window titled "Mark devices for passthrough" will open>Put a check next to the GPU you want to passthrough>Click OK I believe you will now need to restart ESXi. After restart right click on the VM you want to pass the GPU to>Edit Settings>Add>PCI Device Make sure you check compatibility for your GPU with ESXi. Looking forward to trying unRAID for this as it seems to be something they are promoting.
