Will this RAM be suitable?

Understanding that HP Microserver requires ECC RAM, but I see so many different types, I'm hoping to get the cheapest!

I'd appreciate if someone could please assist in verifying if this RAM is indeed correct for the microserver before I go ahead and purchase?

Thank you

Jack

It works with non ECC RAM too just fine. The RAM just isn't "as good". It's good enough for everything I do on the source system though so it's good enough for me.

A whole lot cheaper too

Huh? The Gen8 Microserver is extremely picky about RAM and it has to be unregistered ECC RAM. There are some RAM sticks that in theory should work according to the specs but don't for unknown reasons as well. You just get an endless bootloop. Edited by GotNoTime
