I will do a post at some point how to properly enable spindown on LSI HBA's

without editing driver inf's and having to run unsigned drivers

its quite simple and just a registry key

not quite sure why everyone on the internet are hacking drivers

instead of doing it properly

The other day someone asked about the nmi error on another thread

for the life of me i cant find the thread anymore

anyway

LSI 9207-4i4e P20 Firmware = NMI

HP 9217-4i4e P14 Firmware = Fine

HP 9217-4i4e P18 Firmware = Fine

so its the P20 firmware

Naa

The Nas's are in a wol state so silent

Microserver 2 is powered down and powered up as required

Microserver runs at 10% fan usually and is quiet and ofc spins down hd's

Microserver Sas Enclosure i added a fan reducing cable on the 80mm fan so its around 2000 rpm so quiet

Switches and routers are fanless so silent
