Gigabyte Board Preformance Enhance?

Hi guys,

Just going through the Manual for a gigabyte board and wondering what setting you use on the BIOS with WHS when it comes to

Fail Safe defaults or Optimized Defaults?

And

Preformance Enhance: Standard / Turbo / Extreme?

Was going to use Fail Safe Settings/Timmings & Standard.

Or am I cheating myself, Stability is Paramount..

Have not used an Award BIOS in quite some time.

:)

Optimized defaults is usually best if you want stability. Leave the Performance enhance at default. If this is an 1156 board and you bought DD3 at 1333 or higher, also load the XMP profile other wise you will not get the rated speed. Set the optimized first, XMP second.

Thanks Again PCDoc,

:)

Performance enhance I gather is Turbo @ Default,

Looking forward to the Gigabyte Board.

I believe it is but it depends how it reads you memory. Load the optimized defaults and take what it gives you in that category. Make sure you get the XMP profile set as I assume you are getting 1600Mhz ram.
