HP Noob -- Updating a DL380 G6

I'm a long time Dell groupie whose made the move to HP with a DL380 G6.  So far I'm pretty impressed.  the box is whisper quiet, easy to work on, and solidly built.  My question is about running service packs.  I've downloaded the ISO from HP and burnt a DVD with it.  Since I'm new to HP land I don't want to shoot myself in the foot.  Are there any gotchas I need to avoid?  Or, do I just run the batch file and let the update routine do the rest?  Dell has a similar update system that works pretty well without breaking your server and this looks to me to be the same.  Unlike Dell, it appears the HP equivalent is a universal updater.  Is this correct?

After doing more research I answered my own questions...which is what I should have done in the beginning.  Ran SUM and applied updates to drivers and firmware.  Quick and painless.  No problems.  Very different than Dell.  The Dell counterpart isn't as sophisticated or polished in my opinion.
