"PSDR" in "psdrtelemetrywatch.exe" probably stands for HP Print and Scan Doctor (https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/printscandoctor). Do you have this program installed?

Just speculating, but keywords; 'SchedulerConsole', 'HP', 'diagnostics', 'telemetrywatch' would point to an application that interacts between your printer and the manufacturer, HP. When you install most printers they ask about participating in customer use experience, sharing info with the printer vendor, toner levels, printer use, firmware version, software version and diagnostics. This is likely the scheduler trying to communicate with HP.

This morning while writing an email on my desktop, I had this popup occur from Windows Defender Firewall (see attached). I don't get this at all. I don't have an HP desktop, keyboard, mouse, watch, phone, etc. I do have an HP color laser printer, but at this time that's the only HP equipment I've got in the house. I just don't see the purpose of this software being installed on my PC. And if it's somehow been installed because of the HP laser printer, then it's trying to get onto every piece of equipment that prints to that printer in my home network. That isn't something I want, either.

I agree with oj88. You need to set up users and permission. Page 21 has details: Synology Router User's Guide Based on SRM 1.2

Once you got the drive plugged into the router, you probably need to set it up further using the admin pages of your router. I am not familiar with SRM but typically on other platforms, you need to access the admin page to add/recognize the drive, format it, and create a network file share. There may be other steps involved like adding users or setting up basic security for the file share.

Last weekend I purchased a WD My Book 8TB hard drive. I wanted to attach it to my Synology router, where I had hoped to share it out to everyone in my house. Doesn't look like that's possible. It took me a little while to figure out how to make it recognized by the router, but I finally got that done. The router's SRM software informed me that I'm to use \\SynologyRouter in Windows 10 File Explorer. I did so, then nothing. It should up, sort of. I really can't do anything with it. So, I got onto the Best Buy website (where I bought it) and talked with some people. Looks like that

The SD slot definitely isn't working properly. I ended up installing to the USB slot over the weekend and it's working well. I suspect the problem may have been there for a while and I've just not noticed. I tried accessing various cards in the slot with various OS's all with no joy. They could be read from but not written to. I tried the card that had been in use with 6.7 in a different PC and I could read from it and it appeared I could write to it but no changes were actually showing on the card so I think it's taken the card with it. I'm assuming ESXI must have been reading from it but not

My Gen8 box also reports iLo problems with NAND/SD-Card and esxi didn't work well being installed on an embedded microSD card -- it would hang/lock up/throw errors at various stages of loading (installation went fine tho). I've installed esxi 7 on a USB stick and it boots fine from the internal USB port.

That sucks, one of my two Gen8 boxes reports a NAND flash error which I think refers to the SD slot. I'm not sure if that might be what has happened to you or not, apparently it's common and there was a firmware fix but it only works if applied before the issue starts.

I added a raid card + 8 with sata connectors and added 8 hard drives + 1 ssd of 128gb without counting the 4 disks of 3.5 I do not know if the factory supply will hold ... I realize when I turn it on, it turns off and returns to learn

OTOH Start replacing your old, 'small' disks with new 16TB drives ... ... and use the old disks as cold storage for things you rarely access.

After further examination it seems to be a problem with the internal SD reader as I've tried esxi 6.5, 6.7, 7.01, Windows 10 and Ubuntu and nothing can write to a card in the internal SD slot 😭

I've got a Gen 8 that has been running ESXI 6.7u3 from SD card for a fair while. I've recently got a P222 for my Gen 8 and thought I'd try a clean install of ESXI 7.01 whilst i was tinkering (using ILO). I came across a problem when installing it in that it would immediately go to 5% and then crash with the error "errno 2 no such file or directory /vmfs/devices/disks/" with the SD card ID after disks/. I tried a different card and got the same problem so, assuming it was because 7.01 isn't officially supported, I thought I'd go back to 6.7 or 6.5 but I'm getting an error writing to the SD card

Can I ask which version you're using please? I'm trying to rebuild mine after purchasing a P222 card and am having a problem with the installer erroring at 5% when installing esxi 7.0.1 to SD card. I have seen mention of VMware-ESXi-7.0.1-17325551-HPE-701.0.0.10.6.5.12-Jan2021-Synergy.iso working but can't find it anywhere.

I think that Frys was trying to be too many things to too many consumers, computers and components, home audio and video, appliances, mobile,,,,,, MicroCenter is fairly focused on computer parts and systems, DIY/maker, accessories. Their staff is quite helpful for the average consumer.

Our local Microcenter is also open and seems to be doing well. It's always sad to see stores that Been around for generations close there doors, sad indeed.

If your current setup is 8 disks in a tower then your comment about pcs strewn around the house does not make sense. A good network architecture might consist of a pure file server and other devices appropriate to the task in hand. The 1821 plus two add-in bays (5 disks per) isn’t much different to ‘tower plus strewn around’. Neater certainly, but why the size fixation for such a small difference? I

My current setup is just a mid tower stuffed with 8 drives (i used to have a 20 bay norco case but the norco cases are junk and it broke). I run stablebit drivepool software. I'm thinking on swapping it out for a synology system. While i like what i have i just hate having pcs strewn through the house for something a lot smaller appliance should be able to handle. If i get one i will run SHR. Without that honestly i wouldn't be interested in one. If i remember correctly @Dave made the same change( moving from a pc w\ stablebit to a synology system). Just tested with P410 and it's working, but similarly to Micro G8 it's not shown in iLO4. Base ML110 G9 model have non-hot plug cage, HDDs are connected with a wire SFF-8087 to 4x SFF-8082, similar to that from Microserver. So now if I would want to have P440 controller, I'd need to install hot-swap cage with backplane and the cables you mentioned, that would cost around the same as second hand base models on ebay. Unless there is a walkaround...
