When I first launched homeservershow.com I had a feature called “User Builds” where readers/listeners could submit photos and a small write-up of their Windows Home Server build. It was popular and has been frequently requested to be re-instated so the BYOB podcast and homeservershow.com are proud to announce the “Re” Launch of listener builds. Build lists and photos are gaining popularity in the forums again too but I would like to have one spot where they can all be featured. If you would rather do them in the forums I'm open to that as well. These posts would be more for finished builds and documenting them.
Here is how it will work. If you are building a new box we want to see it! Submit your build to me at podcast@homeservershow.com and I’ll post it on the site. We want to see all builds not just servers. PC, HTPC, Gaming Rig, and WHS builds, etc. Give us a parts list and some photos and do a little explaining of why you built it, why you chose these parts, etc.
If you don’t have an upcoming build you can show us your server or anything else interesting. Do you have an ugly build? We want to see those franken-builds too!
For now they will be located under the category BYOB Hardware/User Builds. You can find the link at the top of the site. I’ve got two of my builds posted there already and will add the builds that were submitted to me long ago. This will also give you an idea of how to shape your document but if you have any questions please drop me a line.
