I shop at Amazon.com. A lot. I also have a Kindle reader and a couple of devices capable of streaming Amazon video. I'm a "prime" customer for Amazon Prime! Keep reading for more info on Prime and a 30 day free trial.
The first graphic below sums up Prime very quickly. Free two-day shipping, a selection of free books from the Kindle library, and free streaming of movies and TV shows.
I originally signed up for the shipping part of the deal. What you don't see in this graphic is the fact that Prime members can pay for overnight shipping per item at a MUCH reduced price. Let me walk you through a typical Prime order.
Not all items are Prime, but I've found that most everything that I order is. This memory card above is sold by another company but fulfilled by Amazon. See the price and the Prime checkmark beside it? That means it will be free Two Day Shipping to you.
It also asks you if you want it quicker. See the last sentence? Let's take a look at that in the shopping cart.
Here is the shipping portion of the shopping cart. If you want to cut Amazon a break you can choose that top option. I've even had Amazon send me a dollar coupon towards an MP3 music download by choosing this option. I like getting my stuff two day air or next day air so I usually go that route. The bottom option shows that you can add $3.99 per item to get them overnight, or next day. Not bad if you need something quickly. I use this all the time for customers.
Prime is $79 annually and has a 30 day free trial. That's $6.58 a month and that's just shipping! I've read tons of books on my Kindle device for free and watched many more movies. If you are a student you can get Prime for 6 months free! You really should check it out.
If you do, don't forget to visit, http://homeservershow.com/amazon for all your Amazon.com purchases. That page will take you straight to Amazon and help out HSS.
