BitDefender has pulled a fast one on me that I wasn't expecting. They have announced, "Box." It's a security solution for your home network that plugs in after your router. With this new explosion of connected devices on your home network this is a great idea. Move the security to the edge instead of at each PC and device. Check the link for more info.
It should be available at Amazon later this month and you can pre-order now at their site.
I also got some hands on time with HP's new mini PC release. They seem smaller than the Mac Mini and oh so light. HP had one up and running and it was very cool to the touch. The one I saw running was an i3 but those are not out for some time. Interesting play here HP. $180 gets you the low end with keyboard and mouse. Wireless, Gig Ethernet, 4 USB 3.0 slots, SD Card reader. Stats. You might not be happy with the Celeron processor and it's 2 Gig of RAM and 32Gb SSD but still! $180!
I met tons of vendors at the PepCom show and will tell you plenty in future podcasts!
