I have a DLNA stack 1.5 that is working fine with HND (home network devices). How can I connect to Mobile Handheld devices and home network devices using M-NCF or AP (access point)? I know that using M-NCF, we can connect MHD and HND.

How does MHD interact with M-NCF?

Where can I find documentation for M-NCF configuration and specs documents for M-NCF?

Oh I totally agree that devices shouldn't be 2 year throw-aways. Heck, my receiver was made before then. All I was saying is that the HDMI spec has come a long way in the last 2 years even.

They may be "over two years old", but they are both supposed to support HDMI 1.3a (part of the rationale for purchasing them).

I realise that you're playing Devil's advocate, but the attitude (all too prevalent in today's consumerist society) that sees two years as the lifetime of devices is thoroughly wrongheaded in my opinion.

To calm myself down, I'll go and listen to some music on my stereo Hi-Fi (Quad amps and electrostatic speakers) that I bought 33 years ago, and which still gives good sound...

Just to play devil's advocate, the BD30 is a device that is over 2 years old, as is the Denon 3808.
You are correct though, it still doesn't work 100%, especially things like CEC.

"HDMI took awhile for that ’standard’ to actually work consistently between devices"...

Hah! It still doesn't... <a href="http://www.avforums.com/forums/denon-owners-forum/765686-denon-3808-panasonic-bd30-hdmi-problem.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.avforums.com/forums/denon-owners-forum...</a>

Key phrase (not by me, but I agree with the sentiment): "This HDMI stuff is really a poorly engineered pain in the arse, if you ask me".

@gcoupe,
Thanks for reading. I'm sure that it's more complicated in real life. The technology is still experiencing growing pains. Like others have pointed out, HDMI took awhile for that 'standard' to actually work consistently between devices, and I imagine that the myriad of codecs and file formats introduce much complexity in the DLNA playground. Hopefully we'll be able to globally agree on a handful of codecs/containers in the near future instead of this free-for-all.

Hmm, so "the specification is written so that things just work..."? I think you'll find that things are a little more complicated than that in real life.

See here for example: <a href="http://gcoupe.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!6AA39937A982345B!8242.entry" rel="nofollow">http://gcoupe.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!6AA39937A9...</a>
