Definitely like the longer shows. You guys cover a lot more, wander a bit more and definitely have much more interesting conversations. And even if you don't have a lot of content, you can always throw an interview into the show. :)

as for cloud backup down under, I use cloud backups the same way: WHS! :P It's my "cloud". :)

As for twitter: http://mashable.com/2009/02/07/twitter-clients/
or just http://m.twitter.com/ Works on my Zune HD.

As for the system recovery for the EX49x, it sounds like it's using "PXE booting" which is a really really bad way to handle recoveries! Namely because the DHCP servers (a required part for PXE) requires it to be the only server on the network (as far as it can detect). I don't really see why they didn't include the flash chip on this model. It was easier. A lot.

As for needing the recovery, I suspect that they changed a lot on the EX47x series. Like possibly dropping Jetty (which is a horrible program, IMO) and using Tomcat instead. A huge change/upgrade like this would be a lot cleaner to reinstall rather than upgrading. More frustrating, yes, but less chance of issues.

if the acer laptop was a netbook, a *very* good chance that it was not gigabit. Heck, even still, a lot of laptops are not gigabit for wired.

Oh, try running "C:program fileswindows home serverclientrestorewizard.exe" on a client machine (or the server). :)

Enjoy your launch party. :)
