The Home Server Show 153

• September 22, 2011

This episode contains two big debates.  The first is should you use an SSD drive as your Windows Home Server operating system drive.  The second is running Windows Home Server in a virtual environment or running other servers in a VM on your WHS 2011 server.  There might not be a right answer to these debates but that won’t stop us from talking about them.  Help us out in the forums on these topics.

John is back with us tonight and of course there Skype issues.  How could we do an entire show without Skype intervening?  You may notice some overlap of topics due to Skype.  I also apologize for my stuffy nose at the end.  Otherwise, it’s a good show and I hope you enjoy it.  See you in the forums.

Download speeds for this seem slower then normal.

  2. Dave says:

Sorry for the trouble. I put this mp3 on my VPS and not on my shared hosting account. When i hit the publish button the server gets hammered. Afterwards it seems faster to me. GoDaddy is giving me grief about all the stuff I have on my shared hosting account there. I really need to look into getting a media hosting account.
