Servers, Security, and more on Home Server Show 258

• April 16, 2014

It’s hard not to talk about security this week with HeartBleed in the news.  Are you safe? Is your home server safe?  I’ll talk with Jim Collison and John Stutsman about it and how to store your passwords as well.  Lastly, I’m using Ooma VOIP service for my home telephone.  What are you paying for home service?  I teased John Stutsman with some Gen 8 talk and we ran out of time.  I also teased the Tablo and ran out of time on that too!  There is always next week!

Using the Google Authenticator application on your mobile phone works great for dual auth setup. Sounds like you guys have not found that application yet. Works with other services as well like the Synology box.

Thanks Dave, I'm giving Ooma a try, just placed my order yesterday.
