Performance Measurement of the HP ProLiant N40L and N54L G7 MicroServer and Other NAS Devices

We all want to know how our MicroServer’s and other Machines compare in performance and how this performance is impacted by different hardware, storage drives, OS’s, drive extender replacements, RAID configurations, etc.

Dave, Chris, and I thought it would be useful to build a jumping off point (a Start Menu of sorts) for a future series of performance studies we will execute and blog about in future postings. Hopefully, you will find this collection useful and will return often to this page to get the latest study.

Note: the NASPT Benchmarks discussed in individual Postings are useful for Comparisons with the specific testing setup, network, and Client Workstation implementation in THAT Posting and should not be considered absolute benchmarks for comparison against another person’s results.
