New Synology DSM and Cloud Front beta Imminent
Synology is displaying their new DSM at CES 2012 and they hinted towards a public beta that should be coming out very soon. I was able to get a good look at the new DSM and it looks like a fantastic refresh of the product.
Disk Station Management is the GUI application that runs on Synology units to help manage every aspect of the unit. It’s the user’s and admin’s interface to storage management and applications running on the Synology hardware.
Synology was kind enough to allow Home Server Show access to the new DSM and I have all the new features in this video.
I also have a few booth photos for you.
Surveillance Station
The new Cloud Front app that will be introduced in DSM 4. Think of Dropbox without size limitations and hosting it yourself. A full explanation is in the video linked above.
Notice the USB 3 blue? Synology is refreshing their line to include USB3 ports.
