I just saw this great offer and I am also watching this blog frequently. I can say that I know Kaspersky Anti Virus and it is a trusted brand you can rely on.

Neato - I also have Kaspersky on my home system and it works well. It’s much faster than Norton (at least the last version of Norton that I finally got fed up with).

Hi Dave,
Thanks for your emails regarding my question on syncronizing the backup in WHS PowerPack 1. As MS has not made this possible, I will run a scheduled batch file from one of client computers on a daily basis.
By the way - I heard your reference to my email in show 12. Cool!
Please keep up the excellent work. I look forward to each show.
Please put me in for a chance at the Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 Giveaway. This sounds like a great product for my (and all other) Windows Home Server.
Best regards,
Brett

Dave,
Thanks for making the show. It’s one of the few podcasts outside of the TWiT network that I listen to. I’d love to get a copy of Kaspersky.
Thanks again,
Derron

I have tried the McAfee server anti-virus trial offered via the HP MediaSmart download. I am NOT impressed. I am looking for alternatives. Thanks for the comparative data you have about alternatives.

I love the show Dave! Can’t wait ’til the next one!
Would love a chance to get Kaspersky!

I glad I found out about this site, since it has some cutting edge info I’m keen to know more about. I’m eager to hear what Kas. has for WHS and how much it may cost since they are my preferred desktop soln. with KIS v7.
That I might win a copy KIS v2009 only seems to make a sweet site sweeter.
Thanks

I have the mcafee plugin and wouldn’t mind trying this one!
August 11th, 2008 at 6:54 pm
Oh, I assumed this had a WHS plugin or something.

Enjoyed the latest show. I’m a new listener and am just getting started with WHS. Looking forward to learning more from your site!

Hey guys, the comments look good so keep it up!
In order to register for the give-away you don’t have to leave a lengthy comment. Just say register me. It looks better if you leave a nice comment though!
Mitch, it’s not an Add-In, sorry. But…it is a fantastic suite to put on your desktop. Try the beta, you won’t be sorry.

Love the show, and thanks to response to my wayward email. Looking forward to hearing about more Frankenbuilds aka Lab servers.
Please register me for the Product Giveaway. Thanks for your time.

Thanks, Dave. I wouldn’t mind ditching AVG. These guys, like other companies, used to be good but get just as bloated as mcafee and norton the older they get. Who do they think they are?

I have a HP MediaSmart Server and installed a trial version of Kaspersky 2009 on my HP dv9700t and it has locked me from accessing the Server and my HP scanner on the network. If I click on the settings screen and disable protection I am able to to access my Server and scanner so it is definitely Kaspersky that is causing the problem. I sent a Email request for help to Kaspersky and 36 hours later still no response from them. So be warned all is not well with this product. If anyone has a solution I would love to see it posted here.

Have you looked in the settings so you can add these devices/IP addresses? It’s probably in the firewall settings.
