I can't see this episode in iTunes Australia store.
Clicking on the hyperlink from the main page shows every episode except 68.

I have the same problem with my Zune software. In checking the XML RSS feed, I see the post about running WHS on an SSD but not the episode 68 post.

Some questions that come to mind about the WHS2011 backup are:

  • In comparison to WHSV1 backup, is it as space efficient in only writing the changes from backup to backup and as flexible in allowing you to view as a complete volume any previous backup?
  • Assuming one doesn't use RAID for single disk failure data redundancy but instead use frequent (e.g., hourly) backups to a drive, can another backup schedule be established to a different backup drive for the purposes of offsite/more secure backup (i.e., two backup schedules to two different drives)?

From toggling the "Allow files in this folder to have contents indexed in addition to file properties" flag on a local test folder, the search function on the file's contents only works when the flag is on.

Search based on the file name works regardless of that file flag provided the "Windows Search" service is running.

For my SSD, I think I'll go back to 1) running the search service; 2) add to "Included Locations" whatever locations I might want to find file names in; and 3) set the "index file contents" flag on those select folders I want to search thoroughly.

There is some confusion here. You do not need to disable the service only the the indexing attribute, especially if you you have spindle drives attached to the system somewhere. Somehow what you have is backwards. I have been running an SSD since they came out and have no issues with searching at all.

Thanks for the clarification. The SSD is the only drive on the laptop. The only spindles being searched are on the Homeserver which has its index service running.
