Hello.

I to am suffering from slow transfer of files to my server.. I run full giga ethernet, but when I am transfer files from off site faster then to my local server something has to be a miss.

For the heck of it I tried to copy a file from my pool on my WHS to the main drive.... Then I copied the same file back into the pool... Wow the difference was amazing.. When I copied from the pool it took about three minutes.. But when I copied back to the pool it took close to ten minutes....Im thinking maybe some of the drives in my server are acting up.....I have a mix of 500g 1T and 1.5T drives..... IM hoping one of the smaller drives is messing things up a bit..

Currently I have an Iphone 3g, but I am looking forward to ditching it in favor of the new Windows Phone 7. I sure am hoping some software will be around to let users connect to WHS in some way, IE strem my music and other chores...

TO the OP.. I think your numbers are off quite a bit on the number of PCs shipped monthly.. Last heard they are moving close to a million a day.. I know that Microsoft has been selling 10 copies of Windows 7 a sec.. and most of them are on new systems...

I also have a 30G ipod which I rarely use and an original Ipod 1st gen, which I keep around for kicks...

Gratz on podcats 100, this was actually the first podcast I listened to... I have a ways to catch up and look forward to listening to every single one of them.

I have been a WHS user since beta, currently I run a norco 4020 with 6T OF storage... Unfortunatly the rest of the hardware in my server is lacking as of late.. And I feel the need to give to do some upgrading... look forward to hearing your recommendations on what hardware I should consider...
