thanks, everything is up and running, building the RAID is saying 25, 75 or 111 hours left, I don't think it knows. I could never find the INT13 setting in the RR Bios. I went into the mobo bios and made sure the RR wasn't a boot option. Now I'll sit and wait.
Thanks for your input timekills and all of the other guys who posted their findings, my install went smoothly because I spent a week reading this forum.
This may not be the correct place, but I have questions on order of install. I believe I have read just about everything PCdoc has written and it has guided me on my WHS 2011 build. Which I am about ready to do. I will be using a MAX-3543 (http://www.amazon.co...duct/B004G8QES4) connected to a 2680. I plan to install 2 - 250GB in Raid 1 for the OS (Intel - onboard). I will have 4 - 2 TB in RAID 5 via the 2680.
Now my question, in what order do I install?
I was thinking, 1) install the 2 - 250, 2) go into the BIOS, put them in Raid 1, 3) install OS. (somewhere in here it will ask for 3rd party Raid software,at which point I install the drivers for the Intel raid.) 4) Get it happy with updates and stable, 5) then install the 2680 and associated drives per previously documented steps.
