O.K. here is a screen shot. The account that I use on the WD is one one of the accounts on the server that has admin rights there. I am accessing shares not DLNA. I think I had similar problems to you at some stage in my setup of both 2011 and 2012 but it turned out in my case to be resolved once I set the permissions. I think it required a server reboot before they kicked in though.
