I just changed out one of my hdds on my WHS and realized that the case is way over crowded. For 250 or less what server case would you recommend?

Thanks

I bought this one a few months ago and I like it.

Plenty of space. Came with 3 very quiet fans.

Here is my two cents. If you have 5 or less drives, get the Lian Li Lancool PC-K7B, good dust filters, good cooling and great prices.

If you want a case that will hold, 6-10 or more with adapters, here are some good options from the Lian Li that are all under your budget. As I have one similar to these I can vouch for the quality of their cases as well as their cooling designs which is important in a server case. Things like dust filters adds to the experience and they are all very very quiet. I do not get a commission on Lian-Li but there is a reason why I have 8 of them. They are absolutely outstanding.

Awesome choice on the case. This is almost identical to mine and I love it. There is even room in 5.25 bay to add an adapter to add three more drives for a total of 13. Room to grow...

Lian Li, Lian Li! That's all I wanted to say. Well, that and the fact that I own 4 Lian Li cases and just love 'em. The way the HDDs can be inserted without tools, and the way I can pull my video card out for testing in another system without tools, is really nice. You get what you pay for. B)

Lian Li is not the only case manufacture that provide those features. But than again I only own one Lian Li case which is great although pricey:)

You are right they are not the only ones but they are one of the few that adds tooless, anti-vibration/noise and support both 2.5 and 3.5 inch drives. Needless to say I am a Lian Li fan as well.

Another Lian Li fan as well I have 5 right now and have had 6 others. I have owned other cases from Antec, coolermaster, Silverstone, Corsair, etc... build quality and fit n finish is top notch. Lian Li are the only ones I build with right now as I haven't found anything better.

I had the same need. I was initially going to get a rack, but then determined that my rack was only 17" deep, and most racks were 24". I then decided to find a big tower and landed on the Antec DF-85.

This thing is huge and comes with 7 fans. It has slots of 12 3.5" drives as well as 3 5" slots, so I should be good on drive slots. It also has front USB slots as well as a front USB3 and 2.5" SATA drive slot. I really could not think of anything additional that I need, so hopefully it lives up to my expectations.

I am in the process of moving over to this machine for my main server and will be posting about this later. It also looks great...
