Figured there *might* be a few people interested in the Mars Rover Landing at 10:31pm PT (1:31am ET).

Just wanted to extend in invitation to those who want to chat about it... to head to the chat room here on the HSS forums.

Maybe a google hangout could be started too... if anyone's interested.

It was a great event to watch -- wish I'd had some Peanuts though so I could have been part of the Tradition when they were passing around the Peanuts before the 7 minutes of Terror!

Wasn't as exciting as Neal Armstrong Stepping off the Lander with Walter Cronkite providning Commentary -- Now THAT was a Historical Event.

I woke up to watch it. It was a fantastic moment for NASA and scientific exploration in general. Very glad I was there for it.
