How much do you want to bet that they used the 1TB design from their Hitachi GST acquisition?Anyone else notice that the 1TB version doesn't have the typical WD black dots on the cover? What's up with that?

Personally, I suspect they got a bad batch of some component, quite possibly capacitors, and this is what 'blew up'.
