Today Woot has a refurbished Ooma VoIP Home Phone System for $99.
I have had mine for over a year and it is great. Unlimited local and long distance
for just $5 per month, you are basically paying required local/federal taxes.

They add other "nice, but not required" features with the premier option for $10 per month.
My wife wanted to keep a home phone and this was a much better option than
$50 per month to AT&T.

At $99 it's the lowest price I've ever seen.

@awraynor I think you meant "At $99 it's the lowest price I've ever seen." NOT $99/month.

I've had an Ooma for quite some time now (over a year maybe 2) and I've been happy with it as well.

Can you route this device back thru your existing phone lines in the house or do you have to use wireless handsets?

In my communications closet it replaces the incoming line from the street and routes to the
usual infrastructure. I use all of my original equipment.

@jmwills. Thanks for the correction. It's great, but not $99 per month worth. Post corrected.
